High-speed doors & Overhead doors

Positioning at loading docks
Upon the arrival of vehicles at loading docks it is important that loading and unloading runs in an efficient and effective way. A vehicle detection is performed here. In this way can be checked whether the vehicles are positioned correctly, that the overhead doors and speeddoors are opened and that people are alarmed the moment the vehicle is arrived.
Safe environment for people and objects
Furthermore it is also important that the overhead doors are safe. It has to be prevented people and objects inccur injuries or damage during loading and unloading. With the help of light curtains this safety can be guaranteed.
Radar sensors from Telco Sensors
SMM series (SpaceMotion)
The SpaceMotion of Telco sensors is a doppler radar sensor which is suited to detect movements in a defined area at loading docks. With the use of micro waves and because of the compact housing is this sensor suitable to be placed behind a plastic wall. In this way they are mounted completely out of sight.
The range of the radar sensor is classified in 'low speed and 'high speed' zones for fast- and slow moving objects. The distance distribution of these zones, but also the maximum range of the sensor itself is adjustable from 0 to 100%. Background suppression can also be set to filter out continuous motion objects. For example with vehicles in the background that are driving away from the loading docks.
Radar sensor from Hotron
Kabuto
The Hotron Kabuto is a unique hybrid safety sensor which works according to an active infrared technology and radar doppler technology for the presence, movement and direction detection of people and objects at for example speeddoors, overhead doors or loading docks. The sensor can be mounted high in the middle above the door (3.5 to 6.5 meters height) and activate the industrial door by means of reliable detection. This can prevent the door from being left open unnecessarily. This benefits safety and ensures less energy loss in buildings and (air-conditioned) warehouses. The sensor reliably determines the direction of movement of intersecting traffic. For example, the door can be opened or closed depending on the direction of movement. Because of the solid construction and the IP67 protection degree it is ideal for the activation of doors in challenging environments. The Kabuto sensor applies with basis requirements of the guidelines 2014/53/EU and 2011/65/EU.
Light grid from Telco Sensors
SG15 series
The SG15, the SG16 and SG 17 series from Telco Sensors are specially designed for security of sectional doors, speed doors and overhead doors, among others. The light strips prevent entrapment of persons, vehicles or other objects by a vertically closing door. Whereas with the use of a bumper, the damage is already done, when using a light strip the door is already stopped before you physically come into contact with the door. Partly for this reason, SG15 light strips can be used as a replacement for regular underrun protection. In addition, they are also TÜV certified as a safety device according to EN 12453 (EN 12978 compliant).
