Wireless level measurement of the AdBlue tank

AdBlue is used in diesel cars as a means to drive your car more environmental friendly. Then your car meets the latest emission standards. At tank stations there are AdBlue tanks to provide diesel cars with AdBlue. These AdBlue tanks run out after a while and therefore it is important to monitor if there is enough AdBlue present in the tank. If the level is too low, the tank should be refilled. The monitoring is done by a wireless level measurement of the AdBlue tank. The wireless radar sensors from Sensor Partners are the ideal solution here. The wireless radar sensors work with GPS functionalities and send data via 2G/ 4G networks. This IOT radar can therefore be used in remote locations or places.
The WLR05-2G/001 is a wireless radar sensor. It is specifically used for level measurements up to 5 meters, with a accuracy of 2 mm. This sensor is capable to constantly monitor the level of the AdBlue tank. The battery of the radar sensor has moreover a life expectancy of over 5 years without any maintenance. Furthermore, the sensor has an IP68 protection degree, a big temperature range (-40°C … +60°C) and is applicable in a big range of applications. With the safe online Cloud platform the data can be shared with the users. As a user of the AdBlue tanks you then have the full control over the business processes with warnings and reports, etc.
An alternative is the wired LRT20AO20/200N from Sensor Partners. This is a radar sensor with analog 4-20 mA output. Suited for communication with a local PLC. This radar sensor is excellently capable of doing a level measurements up to a maximum of 20 meter and with an accuracy of 2 mm or better. This sensor can be deployed if there is no direct neccessity for a wireless sensor in the application.
