Automation in the horticulture and greenhouse construction with X-Y transport systems
The internal transport often happens with a shuttle or traverser, also called a X-Y transport system or a palletshuttle system. This is a labor saving and modular transport system for crates. It is suitable for the automation of processes in for example the horticulture and the greenhouse construction. The shuttle is capable to transport up to 2400 crates in just one hour. It is an ideal solution for efficient process management. However, to let the transport system function autonomous, the protection of the shuttle/ traverser for internal X-Y transport is necessary. Then the system comes to a stoppage before it can cause damage or injuries.
