Quality and efficiency during the process by monitoring the temperature on a conveyor

There are many products that during internal transport, such as on a conveyor, needs to remain on a certain temperature level. Think of for example (animal)food, textile, pharmaceutical products and powder coating/painting. On a conveyor the temperatur can be controlled using infrared radiation, hot air or transported through a big microwave. When the products on a conveyor are getting too hot or too cold, this could have a negative influence on the quality. These products should then be removed which is at the expense of the efficiency of the process. To monitor the temperature on a conveyor multiple temperature sensors are mounted along or above the moving belt.

i-Tec Mini for reliable temperature measurements at high speed

The i-Tec mini is well suited for monitoring the temperature of products on the conveyor. This temperature sensor is resistent to a high ambient temperature. Furthermore the sensor has a display in which a peak and valley hold function ensures that empty spaces between products are ignored by the sensor. When multiple positions should be monitored, the i-TecMiniBus could be a suitable solution. On this system up to 6 sensors can be installed.
