The IL1, IL5 and IL8/IL9 series are inductive proximity switches in a cube-shaped mini-housing. The sensors have different sizes:
IL1: 10 x 28 x 16 mm
IL5: 5 x 5 mm
IL8: 8 x 8 mm (Detection head on top)
IL9: 8 x 8 mm (Detection head in the middle)
The inductive sensors from the IL1 series are available in both flush and non-flush mounting and the sensors from the IL5, 8 and 9 series can only be flush-mounted. The series has an IP67 protection class, so suitable in challenging environments. The IL1 series sensors are fully protected against electrical damage.
The series have a version with a 2 m. fixed cable connection or a 3-pin M8 connector. The IL5 and IL8/IL9 series also have versions with a combination of an M8 connector and a 200 mm fixed cable. Finally, a distinction can be made between a version with an NPN or PNP and NO or NC switching output.
Only long range versions are available for the IL1 series. The IL5 series has standard and long range versions and with the IL8 and IL9 series there is the option available for even greater distance detection.
