The UK1 series are ultrasonic sensors in an M18 housing. The UK1 sensors are available in a plastic or a stainless steel housing. A distinction can also be made between a direct diffuse version, a retro-reflective version or a version with a right-angled transducer.
The UK1 series is available with a single or a double digital PNP (NO/NC) or NPN (NO/NC) switching output. In addition to a digital, an analog (0-10V or 4-20mA) switching output is also possible. Finally, there are also versions that use a combination of a digital and an analog switching output. The UK1 series is equipped with a 4-pin M12 connector or a 2m. fixed cable.
There are also two versions available with IO link. If work is done in potentially explosive atmospheres, an application can also be made for an ATEX variant of the UK1 series. Finally, the UK1 series has a Teach-in function in the form of push buttons. This makes it easy to adjust the desired settings. However, this only applies to versions with a digital output.
If the UK1 version has an analog output, the following applies to the Teach-in procedure:
Place sensor in its lowest position
Tap the -UB briefly (<1 sec) with the white wire (pin 2)
The yellow LED flashes a number of times to confirm
Place the sensor in its highest position
Tap the +UB briefly (<1 sec) with the white wire (pin 2)
The yellow LED flashes a number of times to confirm
