General description UQ1 series

The UQ1 series from Micro Detectors is a series of ultrasonic distance sensors with a compact and space-saving design. The sensors are suitable for detecting objects independently of color and transparency. But also to measure levels of, for example, liquids or bulk goods. Due to the design of the housing, the sensor can be easily mounted in applications with little installation space. Switching distances can be taught in by means of a teach-in button on the back of the sensor. The scaling of the analog range can also be set. The sensor is easy to mount using the M18 threaded housing on the front of the sensor, while the 4-pin M12 connector points straight down. Especially when used on conveyors, this results in a discreet installation method. The connection cable can be directly concealed in the correct direction.

The UQ1 series is available in three detection ranges; 300 mm, 800 mm and 1200 mm. There is also ample choice with regard to the output types. The series is equipped with both a switching output (PNP or NPN) as well as an analog output (0-10 Vdc or 4-20 mA). And of course, the UQ1 series of Micro Detectors also has a model with IO-Link V1.1.
