Product description
FLIR E54 - thermal imaging camera
The FLIR E54 is your entry-level model in the Exx series, providing the resolution and sensitivity you need for basic condition monitoring, electrical/mechanical inspection and building inspection. Its relatively low price puts advanced thermal imaging technology within reach of more professionals and contractors. One of the applications for which the FLIR E54 is suitable is detecting defects and hot spots in buildings. By detecting these in time, expensive repairs can be avoided.
The FLIR E54 has a thermal resolution of 320×240 pixels and a sensitivity of 40mK allowing it to see differences of only 0.04°C. This means 76,800 points where temperature is measured with very high contrast within a temperature range of up to 650 degrees Celsius. The optical camera has 5 megapixels. All this is displayed, with or without improved MSX technology, on a bright 4-inch touchscreen that remains easy to see from any viewing angle.
The FLIR E54 is rugged and waterproof, allowing it to be used in harsh working conditions. With WiFi and METERLiNK®, archiving and reporting is easier than ever.
It comes with the resolution, sensitivity and reporting tools needed to identify problems quickly and accurately, and to demonstrate that repairs have been made.
The convenient 1-Touch Level/Span function makes thermal images even easier to contrast.

Higher resolutions and a larger, brighter touchscreen

The redesigned Exx series with Wi-Fi features intelligent interchangeable lenses and laser autofocus modes (not in the E54 but from E76) and a surface measurement function (from E86). In addition, FLIR's patented MSX® imaging technology has been enhanced and the units feature a larger, more vibrant 4-inch touchscreen. These distinctive features plus increased sensitivity and native resolution help professionals identify hot spots or defects in buildings before potential problems lead to costly repairs.
In redesigning the Exx series, FLIR has developed a new range of compact, intelligent interchangeable lenses that are automatically recognized and calibrated by the camera, eliminating the need for manual calibration. The Exx series now also features a laser distance measurement function. This allows for accurate autofocus, which enables better temperature measurement. Also, on the FLIR E86 and E96 models, surface measurement data is displayed on the screen in m2 or ft2. In addition, the FLIR E86 and E96 models offer higher thermal detector resolutions of up to 640×480 (307,200 pixels) and measure temperatures up to 1,500 degrees Celsius.
The FLIR E76, E86 and E96 are the first Exx cameras to feature UltraMax®, FLIR's built-in super-resolution process, which increases effective resolution four times (to 645,888 pixels) and improves thermal sensitivity by up to 50 percent. In addition, FLIR's MSX technology has been significantly improved on all models. It now uses a 5-megapixel image camera for improved clarity and readability. Combined with a 33 percent brighter display, which is also 30 percent larger than on previous Exx models, these improvements provide more vivid, detailed thermal images.
Exx Series cameras also feature a rugged, water-resistant design and a scratch-resistant Dragontrail™ cover glass on an optically bonded PCAP (Projected Capacitive) touchscreen. The simplified user interface allows for faster, more intuitive operation. Moreover, with enhanced Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Meterlink® connectivity, archiving is now easier than ever, as is report generation.
