General Description

The Neuron Differential Pressure sensor can be used to monitor differential pressure across filters, measure airflow in ducts or monitor pressure in HVAC systems.

The sensor is compact and lightweight and available in a variety of measurement ranges. It offers high accuracy, excellent overpressure resistance (10 PSI) and high burst pressure (300 PSI).

Thanks to its low power consumption, the sensor can operate for up to 10 years on the integrated battery.


Operating principle

The Neuron Differential Pressure sensor uses a ceramic membrane as the pressure sensing element. Pressure is measured via the piezoresistive effect in this membrane.

Ceramic material was chosen for its excellent mechanical and chemical stability, wide temperature range, good insulation and its resistance to corrosion and erosion.

The sensor has good repeatability and long-term stability, making it ideal for industrial and HVAC applications.

The sensor takes a measurement every 30 seconds. When the pressure has changed more than 10/150 Pa since the last measurement, the sensor reports immediately. In other cases, it reports every 2 minutes.
