The RED-110 sensors can be used for edge detection or as a laser copy counter. When used as an edge detection sensor, objects with a height difference of 0.05mm can be detected. The RED sensors are characterized by the large working range and the high measuring frequency of up to 100 kHz.
Applications for this sensor include counting newspapers, single sheets, cards, metal panels, wires, etc.
Different functions such as dirt compensation, ambient lighting compensation and automatic adjustment of the laser with changing detection surfaces provide a robust measurement.
