    Barriers

    Barriers are used to let in or keep out vehicles. In order to do that, vehicles must be detected. This way, vehicles can reliably enter, but it is also possible to prevent damage from a barrier that closes too early. Underground induction coil loops, ultrasonic distance sensors and bumper guards are among the possibilities of solutions.

    Haake safety edges

    Safety edges are rubber safety strips, also known bumper strips, from Haake which are used as edge protection on doors or moving machine parts. Think of application in the automated acces technology such as with revolving doors, gates and fences, but also with barriers. Unlike safety bumpers, safety edges are used in applications with a short braking distance up to approx. 40 mm. A distinction can be made in the braking distance and the type of mounting profile.

    ULD 913 induction loop (single or double)

    The ULD 913 from Hotron is an underground layed induction loop with a single or double coil for the detection of vehicles in the access technology for example with barriers. Because of an output with permanent presence the closing of gates, doors and barriers are prevented in the case of a present static vehicle. This sensor is especially suited for the detection of high trailers of trucks and has 4 adjustable frequentie ranges (20-140 kHz). With just one controller it is possible to control two induction loops for a cost efficient solution.

    A reliable detection with microsonic

    lcs+ ultrasonic sensors

    The lcs+ serie from microsonic are cubic ultrasonic sensors in an aluminium housing with a maximum range of 8000 mm. These sensors are suited to use in the access technology for example with barriers. A filter is available that makes it possible to not detect for example birds, but only detect humans. The sensors with a PushPull output support an IO-Link interface (version 1.1) as well as Smart Sensor Profile. The sensors have moreover a temperature compensation and teach buttons to set up the sensors.
