Radar sensors, for level measurement and object detection

Radar sensors are sensors that are used in, for example, access technology and vehicles, but also in industrial processes to measure levels in tanks, basins, sewers or silos. Radar sensors can reliably detect moving objects or measure levels of liquids or solid materials, regardless of environmental conditions such as weather or high temperatures.

Level measurement with level sensor

A radar sensor is widely used as a level sensor, also called a level sensor. This is a device used to measure the level of a liquid, powder or other substance in a container, tank or reservoir. Level sensors are critical in various industries and applications where accurate level measurement is important.

Level sensors are of great importance in industrial automation, process control, and monitoring of tanks and reservoirs in various industries, including the chemical industry, food industry, water supply and many more. They help maintain the efficiency, safety, and reliability of processes and systems in which liquids and substances must be maintained or controlled at a specific level.

WLR series

The WLR series radar sensors from Staal Instruments are the next step in level measurements. It is the level sensor that is ready for Industry 4.0. Due to the support for 2G networking, the sensor and all measurement results can be monitored wirelessly and remotely. With supporting software that uses artificial intelligence (AI), monitoring is not only automatic but also smart.

SMM series

The SMM series radar sensors from Telco Sensors have been widely used in access technology for the detection of persons and objects for elevator doors, shopping doors or escalators. The use of microwaves ensures an invisible mounting and the possibility to use multiple sensors in the same room and application without interference.

LRT20AO20/200N

Staal Instruments LRT20AO20-200N is a wireless radar sensor with an analog 4-20 mA output for level measurements up to 20 meters and an accuracy of 2 mm. The sensor is equipped with GPS and 2G connectivity. Very suitable for level monitoring in hard to reach or remote locations where wired sensors do not offer a solution. This includes level measurements of liquids and solids, such as water, waste water, chemicals, waste, food, nutrients, animal feed and bulk materials.

HR50

The HR-50 from Hotron is a bidirectional radar sensor for mounting above swing and sliding doors up to 2.2 meters high. From this height, the sensor has a range over an area that extends up to 4 meters. This ensures timely detection and activation of the door for fast moving pedestrians and/or vehicles.

HR50 -UNI

The HR-50 UNI from Hotron is an unidirectional radar sensor for mounting above swing and sliding doors up to 2.2 meters high. From this height, the sensor has a range over an area that extends up to 4 meters. This ensures timely detection and activation of the door for fast moving as well as slow moving pedestrians and/or vehicles.

HR100/HR100-CT

HR100/HR100-CT are infrared safety devices for use in elevators and horizontally closing doors up to 3 meters high. The sensor is energy efficient, versatile to use and moreover a safe solution. The sensors are easy to set up.

HR400IND

The Hotron HR400-IND is a unique safety sensor for the presence and motion detection of fast-moving vehicles at industrial doors. The HR400-IND can be mounted high in the middle above the door up to a height of 4.7 meters and activate the industrial door by means of reliable detection. Due to the large detection field (6 meters wide and 4 meters high), fast vehicles are detected in time and unnecessary opening of the door is prevented. This also benefits safety and ensures less energy costs in buildings and (air-conditioned) warehouses.

HR-ROBUS

The HOTRON HR-ROBUS is a robust and fully waterproof door sensor for movement detection of fast driving vehicles and persons at big industrial (roller) doors up to a 7 meter height. The HR-ROBUS is equipped with a double relais output (NO/NC) to make a distinction between persons and vehicles. With the remote the door sensor can be easiliy set up.

ClearWave

Hotron's ClearWave is a non-contact door switch that automates the opening and closing of doors. A door can be opened safely, but above all hygienically, by just a wave of the hand within the range (5 - 40 cm) of the sensor. The sensor is moreover water resistant and can be easily built-in.

J-Wave

The J-Wave from Hotron is a contactless door switch which automates the opening and closing of doors. With just a handwave (slow or fast) within a range of 30 cm of the sensor a door can be opened both safe but especially hygenically. The sensor has a firm housing and moreover is illuminated in the dark because of the LED-lighting. Because of the narrow design of the switch it is easy to built-in.

SSR-3

The SSR-3 is a hybrid activation- and safety sensor for horizontally closing doors and lifts. The sensor on the one hand activates the opening and closing of the automatic door when movement and direction is detected using microwaves. On the other hand the sensor prevents the door from closing using active infrared detection. The SSR-3 has a big detection area up to 4 x 4 meter, which leads to a temporary opening of the door. This makes the sensor especially suited for applications on airports, supermarkets or shopping malls. The SSR-3 meets the EN16005 European norm for the user safety of automatic doors.

KABUTO

The Hotron Kabuto is an unique hybrid detection system using active infrared technology and radar doppler technology for for the presence, movement and direction detection of people and objects at industrial doors. The Kabuto can be mounted high in the middle above the door (3.5 to 6.5 meters height) and activate the industrial door by means of reliable detection. This can prevent the door from being left open unnecessarily or closes the moment people or objects are near the door.
