User settings

Click on your profile picture or avatar and choose User Settings.

Account

Avatar: Click on the avatar to add your own image.
Display name: Customize your name.
Phone number: Click "Add" to add your phone number. This is required to use SMS notifications.

Verification
You will receive a text message with a verification code. Enter this code during registration to verify your phone number.

Receive newsletter: Enable this if you have Neuron-newsletter.
Enable experimental long polling: Enable this if you have firewall issues that may cause neuronsensors.app to crash.

Security

Open the Security tab to view your profile's security settings.

Here you can change your password.

Change password
This only affects your account and not other users of the system.

• Change password: Change your password below.
• Old password: Enter your old password here.
• New password: Enter your new password here.

Password requirements:
The password must be at least 8 characters long.

Multi factor authentication

Switch multi factor authentication in to improve the security of your system.

What is multi factor authentication?
This is a method of accessing an online account or computer system that requires you to provide two different forms of identification.
With two-factor authentication, you must both enter a password and otherwise confirm your identity to gain access.

SMS:
You must first add a phone number. You will then receive a text message with a code that you must enter each time you log in with this option enabled.

TOTP:
Use an authenticator app to scan the displayed QR code. After scanning, the app generates a one-time code.
Enter this code and click 'Activate TOTP'.
TOTP is now active. When authentication is required, a new one-time code is requested each time.

Notifications

Push notifications: Enable push notifications.

What is a push notification?
A push notification is a message that appears on a mobile device. App administrators can send them at any time; you don't have to have the app open or be actively using it to receive them.

Email notifications: Enable email notifications.
Receive automatic alerts: Enable this to receive automatic alerts.

Automatic alerts
Automatic alarm rules are currently being tested and may still be unstable. Therefore, add manual alarm rules to ensure you receive important notifications.

Layout

Select predefined times for charts (max 3): Choose the time intervals you want to display in graphs. You can choose up to three time periods - from 30 minutes to 30 days.

Average data:
1 day (1D), 7 days (7D) and 30 days (30D) show hourly averages instead of raw data.
